Real time, May 15, 11:00 a.m. We are are on the northern edge of the Tasman Sea, arriving in Sydney, Australia tomorrow morning. Rough mounting seas, 14 to 16 foot waves with heavy gales to 47 knots. The view from our veranda on deck 6, overlooking the bow.
Yikes!
sleeping I hope. It’s 2am there and you are almost to Hobart. Enjoy and hopefully the seas will be calmer for the cruise to New Z🌞. Missed you both at Pirate Ball. Storms here too!
Keep the trash can near by!
Thankfully…we didn’t need it!
That is one of the benefits of a long cruise- the friendships that are formed. Some are lasting ones. Hope you can sleep through the turmoil!!!
Wow! Reminds me of a trip back from the Great Barrier Reef on a much smaller ship when they almost ran out of barf-bags.
Wow, I think I would be a bit scared with those size of waves.
Not so scared as it is tiresome. It is almost bedtime now and the sea is still pitching. There was a lot of “fallout” in the Polo restaurant where we dined tonight, with broken glasses, dishes, etc. The crew are amazing. This is the last night for those on a 35-day segment from Shanghai to Sydney….a shame to have this be their last day. We will miss some good friends 🙁
