Tomorrow is Another Day

Cruise ships offer many ways to overindulge, and one of the best ways to do that with food and wine onboard Marina is at La Reserve, a serious special restaurant endorsed by the oenophiliac magazine “The Wine Spectator”, and limited to 24 guests, which features an extravagant, carefully chosen and prepared, seven-course food and wine pairing dinner. There are three of these “opportunities” offered while we are on board this cruise, and we have reserved two of them. More than just a great dining experience, these are events, plus a jump-start to meeting people.

These dinners are sometimes, thankfully, offered on a sea day, so guests have time to prepare mentally and physically for the challenge by fasting, resting, or both. Our first one was on the second day after we arrived onboard, and at the end of the evening, when the wine had elevated the conversation and revelry, we toasted to an unforgettable meal and, with our new best friends, vowed never to eat or drink again…at least until tomorrow.

  1. Wow, the food looks delicious. Sure sounds like a wonderful event. My BoLings carryout seems rather dull compared to the culinary cuisine you experienced:)
