The blog has been moving in slow motion lately because of the painfully sluggish internet service onboard. As a result, I am at least nine days and several ports behind. As soon as we get a string of days at sea, I’ll try to catch up.

We did take a little time to celebrate our anniversary on April first. Dean had carefully “smuggled” a very special bottle of wine and brought it all the way from Kansas City for the occasion, a gift from our dear friends Paul and Chris. They would be happy to know that we enjoyed a lovely Italian dinner at Toscana and drank the evidence. It was the perfect crime.

I guess we’re just a couple of April Fools.
